Fifteen-year-old Sparrow moved in with her mysterious host family nearly a year ago now. Her time in the Victorian manor with two fellow students is unremarkable until Summer Solstice draws closer and she finds a newspaper article - an article speaking about terrible rites related to the murder of three teens. Here, in White Lilies Manor. From that moment on, nothing is the same.
Sparrow barely survives several murder attempts before managing to escape the manor and fleeing into the nearby forest. Together with the two other students - nerd Thorne and drama queen Jasmine - she has to come up with a plan to escape the manor's heavily protected estate and avoid the rite on Summer Solstice at all costs. Even if that means having to go back into White Lilies Manor...

Sparrow thought she was finally coping with last year's events. But when Thorne is kidnapped by a very familiar person, old wounds are reopened and she realises that there's no way to avoid another visit to White Lilies Manor. Together with her mother, the famous assassin Nemo, she makes her way back to the place of doom, only to find the nearby village slowly turning into a Victorian nightmare.
As Sparrow is faced with last year's terrors again, she soon recognises there's more behind what happened - and more behind the people she thought she knew...

After attending the event of the Eternal Magicians, Sparrow's mother Nemo is struggling with her past as an assassin for the magic army. When she and her daughter break into the archives of her former workplace, they make a discovery that changes everything they've ever believed in.
Who really pulled the strings behind the Arcane Magic War's facades? What was their goal? And most importantly, who can they trust anymore, being on the brink to a second war, where former hostilities seem to have no values anymore?
The deeper they get entangled in Nemo's past, the clearer is it for Sparrow that nothing has ever been about her. Not about Jasmine. Not even about Thorne.

Generelle Informationen

"White Lilies Manor" entstand zunächst als deutsche Novelle, die die Autorin ins Englische übersetzte und im Herbst 2020 im Selfpublishing veröffentlichte. Zur selben Zeit begann sie die Arbeit an den zwei Fortsetzungen.Im Frühling 2022, parallel zur Veröffentlichung des finalen Teils der englischen Reihe, beendete sie die Übersetzung der Bücher zurück ins Deutsche, sodass sie eines Tages in einem Band zusammen veröffentlicht werden kann...Für weitere Informationen über die Veröffentlichung, Charaktere und das Coverreveal, folgt @janinanilges.autorin auf Instagram!
